Me and Michael is a short narrative film developed from the filmmaker’s personal experiences with emotional abuse and observations of familial anger. Created in collaboration with peers, the film uses symbolic imagery—television screens, masks, and other visual motifs—to represent isolation, endurance, and the desire to escape into another world.
Subtle horror elements emerge through carefully chosen locations and ambient sound design, creating an unsettling atmosphere that carries into the film’s cinematography and shapes its emotional weight.
